Community Guidelines

Last updated October 30, 2026

Ready Set Go Adventure is a free community for people who love getting outside. These guidelines keep it friendly, useful and safe. By joining, you agree to follow them. How we handle your information is in our Privacy Policy.

1. Be kind

  • Treat other members the way you'd treat a fellow hiker on the trail.
  • The same goes for chats. Don't keep messaging someone who hasn't replied, and don't add people to group chats they've left.
  • Disagree with ideas, not people. No insults, name-calling, bullying or pile-ons.
  • No hate speech, threats or content that attacks people for who they are (race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or nationality).

2. Keep it about adventure

  • Share trip stories, photos, reels, trail reports, tips and questions.
  • No spam, chain posts or repeated posts of the same thing.
  • No advertising or selling without permission from Ready Set Go Adventure. Sharing a business you genuinely recommend is fine. Posting your own promotions is not.

3. Respect privacy

  • Never share someone else's private information: home address, phone number, email, live location or anything they haven't made public.
  • Ask before posting clear photos of other people, especially children.
  • Only tag friends in posts and photos they're really part of. Anyone you tag is told and can remove their tag. Tagging never changes who can see a post.
  • Your profile and trips are private until you choose to share them. When you post, you choose who sees it: Only me, Friends, or Public. Please respect other members' choices.

4. Share safely

  • No dangerous or reckless advice. If a trail, swim or activity has real risks, say so.
  • Follow posted closures, permits and park rules, and don't encourage others to break them.
  • Leave No Trace: pack out what you pack in, stay on trail, and respect wildlife and cultural sites.

5. Post only what's yours

  • Only post photos, videos and music you took, made or have the right to share. Reels can use the built-in music library, which is licensed for that.
  • No nudity, sexual content, graphic violence or other inappropriate images.
  • Nothing illegal.

6. One person, one account

  • Use your own account and confirm your email address. Don't pretend to be someone else.
  • Don't create new accounts to get around a mute or suspension.

Reporting a problem

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, use Report on the post, comment, chat message or member. Reports are private: the person you report is never told who reported them. When three different members report the same post or comment, it's hidden automatically until a moderator reviews it. You can also block anyone: you won't see each other anywhere in the community.

What happens when the guidelines are broken

Moderators decide case by case. Usually it goes in this order, but serious problems can skip straight to a suspension.

StepWhat it means
Content removedThe post or comment is hidden from everyone. You'll see it marked as removed.
WarningA moderator emails you about what happened and what to change.
Mute (1 to 30 days)You can still log in, read and plan trips, but you can't post, comment, react or send friend requests until the mute ends.
SuspensionYour account is closed: you can't log in, and your posts, comments and profile are removed from the site.

Questions or appeals

If you think a moderator got it wrong, reply to the email you received, or contact us at readysetgoadventure25@gmail.com. We read every message.

We may update these guidelines as the community grows. The date at the bottom shows when they last changed.
